Disclosures
MoorLine, Inc. · moorline.com · Effective September 2, 2026
Summary
MoorLine is a paper-trading beta operated by MoorLine, Inc., a Delaware corporation. It is not a registered investment adviser and nothing in the product is investment advice.
Results shown in the app are simulated unless explicitly labeled otherwise. Simulated results have inherent limitations and do not predict real results.
Past performance does not guarantee future results. Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal.
1. Who we are
MoorLine is built and operated by MoorLine, Inc., a Delaware corporation. MoorLine, Inc. is preparing to register as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and is not yet registered. Until registration is effective, MoorLine operates as a free simulation: no advisory fees are charged, no real trades are placed for clients, and nothing in the product should be relied on as personalized investment advice.
2. Simulated results
Portfolios in MoorLine are managed in paper-trading accounts: simulated money, real market prices. Simulated performance has inherent limitations. It does not reflect the impact of real order execution, liquidity, taxes, or the emotions of risking actual money, and no representation is made that any account will achieve results similar to those shown.
3. Risk statement
- All investing involves risk, including the possible loss of the money you invest.
- Past performance, real or simulated, does not guarantee future results.
- AI-generated analysis can be wrong. MoorLine’s deterministic policy engine limits what any decision can do, but no system removes market risk.
- Nothing in MoorLine is tax, legal, or accounting advice.
4. Data sources
Market data is provided by third-party sources, including Alpaca Securities’ market data service and, for connected brokerage accounts, the account’s own institution via SnapTrade. Data may be delayed or incomplete. MoorLine timestamps the data behind every screen and every recorded decision.
5. The decision record
MoorLine permanently records every management decision it makes, including decisions to take no action, together with the reasoning, the mandate version in force, and the model version that produced it. The record is append-only: history is never rewritten.
6. How MoorLine is paid, and conflicts of interest
MoorLine’s only intended compensation is the advisory fee its clients pay under the published fee schedule (during the beta, the service is free and no fees are charged). MoorLine, Inc. receives no payment for order flow, no compensation from fund issuers for recommending their products, and no placement or shelf-space compensation from brokerages or custodians. Investment products are selected under each client’s mandate with documented reasoning, recorded in the decision record.
Brokerage and data partners have their own economics: for example, brokerages may receive payment for order flow on accounts they carry, disclosed in their own agreements and disclosures. Those arrangements compensate the partner, not MoorLine.
This description will be reviewed by securities counsel as part of MoorLine’s registration, and the registered adviser’s Form ADV will contain the authoritative conflicts disclosure.
